The Chapman Advertising Club allows students to learn and become more knowledgeable in the many different fields within advertising through mingling with fellow students and listening to special guest speakers. The club meets every another week, and brings in speakers from the greater Los Angeles and Orange Country areas. This allows our members to gain a better understanding of the industry and have the ability to network themselves to specific people and companies through potential internships or part-time job opportunities.
Along with the Speakers Series, member’s fees go towards discounts to events associated with the AAF, Ad2OC, and OCAFED. These organizations are another great way to become well-informed with the advertising industry and as an additional networking channel to connect with companies and firms in the real world.
Ad Club is an informal club which allows you to connect with peers outside of the academic curriculum. Ad Club members are qualified to hold leadership positions on the Ad Club board and also participate in the National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) if selected. Ad Club and Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) are also responsible in planning and organizing the 4th annual Warlocks and Witches Ball in the film school every year. For information about the Warlocks and Witches (click here)
Our meetings are held every other Thursday night at 7:00 pm in Beckman 103, and we encourage all who are interested to check it out. The $100 membership fee provides members’ access to the speaker series throughout the full academic year, discounts to AAF, Ad2OC, and OCADFED, and a Chapman Ad Club t-shirt. Membership fees for this year are due October 15th and should be addressed to Chapman Ad Club. If you have any other questions feel free to contact Lexi Vanni.
Come join the AD Club and see why Chapman Ad Club is one of the biggest and sexiest clubs on campus!
